DONATION FAQ

Where does my donation go?

100% of donations received will go towards Youth Empowerment & Support Services (YESS), whose mission is to walk beside traumatized youth on their journey towards healing and appropriate community integration. YESS is an Edmonton-based not-for-profit organization that provides accessible 24/7 shelter, temporary housing, and resources that help prevent youth re-entry into homelessness. You can find out more about YESS at their website: https://yess.org.

Can I get a tax receipt for my donation?

What is team fundraising?

Team fundraising, also known as peer-to-peer fundraising, is a way for people to expand their social reach and fundraising capabilities by being part of a team. Participants can either create or join a team on the CanadaHelps website. The team that fundraises the most money will earn their name on our annual 5 Days for the Homeless Plaque. For more information on how to either create or join a team, please refer to the guide on our donations page.
